On the occasion of the International Nurses’ Day on 12 May 2018, the faculty of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences organized a Health Fair for Al Makassed High School students.

Khadijah Al Kobra, Al Farouk, Ali Ben Abi Taleb and Khaled Ben Al Walid colleges participated in the event, which was held on Thursday 3 May 2018.

The Health Fair included booths that provided information regarding healthy behaviors and practices that promote and maintain health. Topics included:

1.     Blood Pressure measurements and instructions about Hypertension

2.     Blood Sugar measurements (Hemoglucotest) and instructions about Diabetes

3.     Height and Weight measurements and BMI Calculation with instructions about diets and weight control

4.     One recruitment Booth to inform participants about College Programs

5.     Al Makassed Health and Social Bureau participated with a booth about Stress Management

6.     Dietary Department at Makassed General Hospital participated with a booth about healthy diets

7.     Makassed Volunteers participated with a booth about their activities

At the end of the day, students took part in a Tombola where gifts were distributed, and cocktail served.
