College of Nursing and Health Sciences

Makassed General Hospital (MGH), classified by the Lebanese Ministry of Health as a university teaching hospital, is the major clinical facility utilized for student training. Students are exposed to a variety of cases and patient conditions leading to comprehensive experience in major medical/surgical, intensive and specially units. Moreover, students are placed in community centers, outpatient clinics, and schools as program requirements for courses within the program.

Students are supervised by experienced staff and clinical preceptors during their clinical training hours. Supervision needs are adjusted as students advance in the program to foster their independence in action and decision making. The collaboration with the nursing service department at MGH is contractual as it provides clinical facilities for the education and training of college students.

During their senior year, 100% of graduating students are offered employment. Students who have signed contracts are employed at MGH.
